FIELD DAY - Nature Microscope Day!! Feb 1 - 10am-1pm -Tukupetsi trailhead

This is going to be a fun one! I am very excited.

I have published an entire book of microscope photos and the second one is well on the way. On this field day i will show you how i did it, and some of the most incredible things i learned in undertaking such a project

This is seriously going to be so cool im just so stoked ok.

We will spend the day in a few stages:

Firstly we will go out on a hike at the beautiful Tukupetsi trailhead and collect some small samples and talk about all the cool things we see along the way.

Then we will all meet up with my microscope and do a tour of all the cool stuff we brought back! I will be collecting some water-dwelling samples along the way, so hopefully we will be able to see some of my favorite microorganisms as well! Tardigrades and rotifers and who knows what else!

The microscope feed will be shown on a tv so we can be comfortable, and some light refreshments will be offered as well.

It should be about 3 hours in all (i've never done one of these sorry for the scheduling ambiguity). Though if we find some particularly cool stuff some distracted overtime may ensue.
